In our quest to teach reading to our children or teens with Down syndrome, we have to focus initially on "hot topics" or personal words central to that child. We do that because motivation is an essential key in teaching reading, and we want to hook their attention.

But what about those low-interest (boring) high-frequency word lists? The words that teachers everywhere want our children to learn to read?

That's where our new series comes to the rescue.

We've designed a compact, appealing set of 3 books that together teach the 40-word Pre-Primer high-frequency word list (Dolch List). The topics are engaging and the design is high-focus and clear.

We've included 3 complete sets of tabletop cards for teaching and reading games. For your convenience in finding the cards you need, the tabletop cards are color-coded. Each set of cards matches the cover color of the corresponding book; e.g., text on Book One cards is blue to match the blue Book One cover. Easy!

These books have been tested for several years by children and teens with Down syndrome. They've been given a grinning "Two thumbs up!" by the kids, and a "Fabulous!" by the parents and educators. So we're now ready to offer them to you.
